AT&T: iPhone MMS coming on Sept. 25
iPhone owners have been clamoring not-so-quietly to use the MMS features that are still lying dormant in their devices since Apple's iPhone 3.0 update in June. Earlier, we took another look into what the holdup might be, and as if by magic, AT&T has finally answered the call for a due date: September 25.
According to AT&T's press release, a software update will enable MMS for iPhone 3G and 3GS customers (original iPhone owners are, unfortunately, out of luck with the MMS feature). Besides finally offering a date, AT&T is also clearly trying to quell the seething masses and complaints abou t overpriced, sub-par service that have become almost deafening. The company did not offer any further information about when it might offer tethering functionality for the iPhone, another feature that Apple announced in the iPhone 3.0 software update. The fact that AT&T is waiting until the absolute last minute of its self-imposed "by late summer" deadline may not comfort many who have already lost faith in the carrier's ability to meet demand. As Dan Moren stated this morning, iPhone owners in particular are hungry for as many multimedia and data services as developers can dream up. MMS is surely the tip of a much larger iceberg that AT&T cannot seem to steer away from fast enough. http://www.macworld.com/article/1426...9/att_mms.html |

Although, MMS with the iPhone right now isn't hard. It'll be nice to have it fully implemented. |
AT&T... gotta love them :(

I don't get why the US is excited about MMS on the Iphone. MMS is outdated and far from 'exciting', but that's just my personal opinion. If you have a data plan you're much better off with just emailing things from one mobile device to another. I've always loathed MMS, don't even have it set up on my phone. |

MMS isn't something "new" for anyone, even those with the iPhone. The problem is, with the iPhone it was not originally built-in like it typically is with most phones. You have round-about MMS via email/web - but it's not technically the standard built-in MMS. This is about the iPhone finally getting the built-in "normal" MMS. I mean shit, I've had and used MMS for what seems like six years now on all my phones (even the iPhone). Only problem is with the iPhone it is kind of a pita comparatively. |

While the iPhone mms is supposedly, direct embed while in a conversation with a contact like below: Being able to send pictures and videos right in the chat screen is much better off and exciting in my view.:2 cents: http://www.sexandthereviews.com/iphone_mms.jpg |
