same WP blog on multiple domains?
is there a way to have WP blogs on different domains to share the same posts and comments?
|
I am not sure, because each blog stores its own information in database, so using the same database on few different installations won't work, as their info will be in conflict. However I think there may be some workarounds...

duplicate content?
but ya its possible |
dunno why you would do it, but sure.

yes and it's extremely easy. However, you'll have the duplicate content thingy. If that doesn't bother you throw me a mail and I'll send you the different ways to do it :)
Either way, if the domains are in the same server then better, otherwise you'll need to pull the posts via RSS (which is not a bad idea at all since you can use plugins to modify them "on the fly" to lesser the duplicate content issue) or allow a MySQL remote host/s to pull info from a database |
duplicate content doesn't matter - what i want to do is make a blog in the members area also available out of the members area to make life easier on a model so she doesn't have to keep two blogs updated. i'll be lucky if she does one.
i'll hit you up harvey this week :thumbsup |

i'd rather have two blogs with different content but young models have busy lives and lots of distractions - can't expect them to do what a 30 year old model does who realizes it's a career/business. |
I've done this pretty easily using Wordpress MU and the Domain Mapping plugin.
Basically, you would create your main blog on whatever domain name you want, then set up domain mapping on a second domain to point to the main one. So, you'd have two of the same exact blogs with different urls. I can try and give more detailed explanation if needed. - PornAddict |
