does the gov have? :helpme
"'When the government of the United States of America claims the authority to ban books because of their political speech," says Citizens United, " something has gone terribly wrong.' A majority of the U.S. Supreme Court seems to agree. Next week, for the second time, the Court will hear oral arguments in Citizens United v. FEC, a case that poses the question of whether the Federal Election Commission violated the First Amendment when it prevented the conservative group from showing a highly critical documentary about Hillary Clinton on cable TV during the 2008 primary season. The Court scheduled the unusual second round of arguments after it heard the lengths to which the federal government had been driven in defending its suppression of Hillary: The Movie." http://images.paraorkut.com/img/funn...nton-12779.jpg :1orglaugh:1orglaugh wtf is going on in this picture :1orglaugh |

Bullshit no one prevented nothing. Since when should cable channels be FORCED to air anything. Oh they are supose to give ait time for FREE to people to spew crap when they could be selling that air space for advertising. Last time I checked America is a CAPITALISTIC society. Funny how conservatives want socialism when it serves their needs.

I wonder how much impact Sotomayor will have on the Court's rulings. Since she replaced a fairly liberal justice, David Souter, I suspect the ideological mix of the Court's rulings will remain the same. Unless she pulls a Byron White on Obama..... Doubtful though.

Is this anything like when they were going to air a movie about Reagan that was not going to show him in a very good light and the republicans jumped into action and pressured the network into not airing it? Both sides are corrupt and hate being reminded of it.

Who gives a fuck. Both sides = a bunch of cry babies.
