Blog writer rates?

hi there, i am looking for some work writing for blogs and things of that nature.

I have no idea what to charge. I have a lot of experience writing video and photo gallery descriptions and synopsis.

any info is appreciated greatly,
:)

About 8 to $10 per accepted blog post. You might want to try mturk.com as a means to find writers and pay them, works for me just fine!

thanks for the info. i am looking to do the work myself from home. do you need any help in that department aside from paying mturk.com?

there is an over flow of people doing this.. If you have the talent then the best thing for you to do is to do so for your own blog.

For that much, I better be getting one hell of a story, not just a post.

I've paid from $2.50-$5 MAX per post. At $5 per post, they were 250+ words, and were posted on my post with an image.

2 cents per word up to 5,000 words is what I bill for blog posts. But you'll have to find your own price level and go from there.

I pay as little as .5c a word, and on average around 1c-1.5c a word. Though most 'writers' aren't really writers at all, can just write some ok sounding stuff and spell check it.

I do use one writer i pay 4c a word to, and she does some of the best work I have seen. She has a good grasp of SEO and how the SE's work with written content and is worth every cent. With heaps of writers taking any work they can get, she is always busy too, so obviously there is a market for really good writers who do charge more. Shame good writers are so damn rare.
