just did it, crashed after give min, but then i re-started my computer and now it works 100x faster then before, much smoother it seems, it made me up-date the adobe flash player plug in.

Anyone else?

AIbenjamink 09-10-2009 06:56 AM

Haven't updated yet, planning on it this afternoon. Don't have any real issues with the current version.

I had 3.5.2 installed and had tons of cpu usage and lag when checking links and such. ...reverted back to a 3.0.xx version.

Let me know if you notice the heavy cpu usage in 3.5.3

You mean 3.5.2 ?

TheSenator 09-10-2009 12:56 PM

Just updated to 3.5.3....extremely fast

kane 09-10-2009 01:22 PM

I did the update just now. Hopefully it fixes the issues I was having. Before it was hanging and shutting down at random times. Maybe this will stabalize it out some.

qxm 09-10-2009 01:35 PM

dam... this was supposedly a security update but it certainly feels faster.....

PR_Sebas 09-10-2009 01:42 PM

I updated, haven't had any issues.

Porn Grounds 09-10-2009 01:46 PM

It fixed my crashing issues but still using massive amounts of memory...

beta-tester 09-10-2009 02:17 PM

yeah 3.5.3 seems to be pretty fast. Coupled with the newest flash plugin, youtube just flies!

Same here only I just deleted it entirely and am trying Google Chrome now.

qxm 09-10-2009 02:24 PM

mm lets see... I have 17 tabs open and I am using that Split browser plugin to fit 2 pages in my widescreen ..... ram usage 160MB ... CPU usage 2-4%

Version 3.5.3

SonOfaBeach 09-10-2009 03:03 PM

28 tabs, ~200MB, 2 CPU

3.5.3, the Flash 10 update, and Win7

It will be interesting if this one climbs to ~800MB like the last version...

They are in a competition with WordPress to see who can put out the most updates.

2.8.5 is out

DonovanTrent 09-10-2009 03:48 PM

I think it's a good update. 3.5.2 you could just start and do nothing with, and watch the memory usage creep up in Task Manager for as long as you had it open. I did the same test with 3.5.3, it seems like it stabilizes quickly. Opening something like CNN and opening random news stories in a dozen windows, it does the same thing, settling on a memory amount and stopping, which is a very good sign.

VeriSexy 09-11-2009 03:24 AM

seeandsee 09-11-2009 03:26 AM

gecko 09-11-2009 10:04 PM

Axeman 09-11-2009 10:35 PM

Much faster with the latest update.

Gonzo Modeling 09-11-2009 10:55 PM

good deal, looks like things are a heads up
i keep getting a funky thing in the middle of the page like i'm trying something when i cliclk on random spots on the page, anyone else?

SuzzyQ 09-12-2009 05:25 AM

I have had no problems with the update on both machines. If anything, they appear to be running faster and do weard things when I on a page with a lot of flash.
