What would you do if... (hosting)
You order a dedicated server a week ago and it's still not ready. Your "account manager" does not reply to your emails, you get ignored on ICQ (yet he was so fast to add me there when I said I will order). Also the person that is setting up your server does not reply to emails.
I mean WTF, what if something goes wrong with the server? Will it be the same? On the other hand my current dedicated provider was very fast to solve a problem just yesterday (and this was the FIRST problem with them in over 2 years). I think i'll go ahead and cancel the order. |

I'd cancel the order and demand my money back. If I didn't get that, I'd go public and name names. Like you said, if they go down you need to know that they contactable quickly.
Sounds to me like a "I've had your money now fuck off" attitude. |

That's grounds for a chargeback if you used credit card. Teach them they can't play dirty pool like that by fucking with their CB ratio.

This is not an acceptable business practice for any host. I would expect with any host that I set up a server with to be running within 24 hours, unless they set a different expectation when I placed the order. Such as if they stated they had a group of servers on order and they were taking pre-orders, or if their sales dept stated that new servers would be online within 72 hours or something.
Cancel your order and go with a real host. And failing to respond to your inquiries is unforgivable. |
