Man This is Shity....
My Church gave me the name of a family who was in need of help, I went out and spent about $80 on grocery's and took them over......well the people started to complaining about what I had brought for them. ( eggs, bread, hamburger, bacon etc) WTF? I don't get it. I will never do that again. From now on I will giving food to the animal shelters and such.
Did you bring all the food home with you?
I would have taken it back
vegans???
what a bunch of assholes.
Don't let those ungrateful fuck ups mess it up for other people
Thats unlucky, maybe they were just too proud to accept charity?
what kind of food did they want?

Damn, thats fucked up...people are so ungrateful sometimes!
they need alcohol on the first place ... but nice thing you did, shame the results ...
yeah should have brought them a 40oz and some meth.
What was their complaint about the food? What was their reason for complaining?
they probably felt bad later. Being in that position(poor) can be hard.
sometimes people can act defensive and weird in a humiliating position, though sometimes people are just ungrateful trash.
Are they even part of the Church?
Most likely just some druggie scum. |

The one thing that stands out was I had gotten 2 cans of cut green beans and they only eat french green beans. |
What ungrateful assholes.

Beggers can't be choosers. I feel bad for their children but not for them, some people really are too stupid to survive. :disgust |
I would have lost all faith in humanity for a second time.

That sucks. Your right, don't do that again, save your $80 and spend it on something better - like yourself.
I had someone come to my door about 2 months ago saying they were raising $1,000,000 for a couple that has lost it all. I asked what they lost and he told me this. Well, they won lotto ($3,000,000) a few years ago and they purchased a house, boat, cars, trip around the world. But soon took on the sins of the devil and started drinking and gambeling and drugs. They sold their cars, boat and house to pay off the habbits and now on the road to recovery. So we're raising $1,000,000 to get them back on their feet. I couldn't help but say "fuck off" and shut the door in his face. The herve of some people. |

1st of they didn't TELL me to do ANYTHING! I called a church and asked if they had a family I could help. |
I'd call the church and let them know... Nobody who is in that position should be picky like that, and if they are, they don't need helped, let them get shit on their own.

People like that are to lazy to work, let alone cook food. They probably wanted cookies, frozen pizzas, hot pockets etc*junk food). Every year I volunteer, donate, and sponsor familys for the holidays. The level of ungratefulness is amazing among those who are lazy bums who work the programs so they have money to spend on booze, drugs and other non food items. Thats why I prefer to sponsor, cause then I can choose a family(s)

Call the church and get them to take that family off the list......
Unbelievable. I would have taken the food back with me and left them with this life lesson: Never look a gift horse in the mouth.
The nerve of some people is startling. |
lol... it looks like they were not that hungry :1orglaugh
I've done that many times over the years its like a 25% chance you'll get someone that won't even give you a proper thank you. But I still did it. We did it a lot also for pregnant mothers. Normally right after they had their child we had a program we were in where other families would cook their meals for the first few weeks after they bring their baby home. Most of those experiences were ok, but sometimes the Dad would get all proud and give dirty looks like "we don't need your help" kind of looks. Oh wells.
That was nice of you to buy them some food:thumbsup you should have took the food back.
U should give'em one egg and a cock, big one!
Ungrateful bastards. You should have shit on their doorstep.
Is it possible that the church passed on their info without the family actually asking for assistance? Maybe their rudeness was really embarrassment...
Yep I'd put the food back into my car and tell to be a little more grateful. Bye Bye
...or maybe they're just the kind of people that think they're unconditionally entitled to handouts, and complain about it rather than appreciate it...
You did the right thing TurboAngel. Don't let their reaction make you feel unfulfilled. The church steered you to people that didn't really need food if they were in a position to complain.
keep going back and biting your lip. ESPECIALLY if they have kids. Other people might give up on them. (just keep repeating: "I'm doing it for the kids." - "I'm doing it for the kids." - "I'm doing it for the kids.") will make you a more understanding and tolerant person. Don't let her bad attitude deter you from helping the kids. I'm sure you would rather feed her kids than a dog at the shelter... despite her 'tude.
Never donate directly to families. Donate to food banks or shelters. That way you know they will be gratefull, they will use the food, they will not complain about what you donated as long as it is not open, and you know they will not trade it for something else.

Thats fucked up. I can't stand when people are like that.
A few years ago around christmas time I would go to the toy store and buy a bunch of toys and drop them off at a local charitable place. There was a lot in LA so it was easy, but last year was impossible to find a place in PA. I just got back in the 23rd and was racing around to drop off the gifts. I got to this place minutes before 5pm and the girl wouldnt take it because she said her shift was over. Sad, 10 or so kids didn't get presents that year because this girl couldnt put in the extra 5 minutes to finish her shift. |
We moved to a small town and I decided to try to be a part of the community.
There is a church that works with food banks to help feed the "needy" in the rural areas, I volunteered to help put together food boxes and hand them out to the people as they showed up to get them. Many are regulars as this is done once every 2 weeks. After putting up with and listening to the first 7 families do nothing but bitch and complain I had to leave, it was very fucked up because the food was all name brand good stuff. Most better than I buy for myself. The kids were bitching just as much as the parents. From what one person told me that used to volunteer the people that show up for hand outs just bitch and complain and expect you to just kiss their asses because they are needy, they have gotten used to the churches providing everything for them whenever they need it. From then on screw it they can get their own damn food or starve. |
when a hungry bear comes on your property and you give it food it will continue to come back to your property searching for food instead of doing it themselves.
when you dont give it food it will break in and get it itself. i am kinda against providing for people when they should be doing it themselves. hell grow a friggin garden if you have to. and im not to sure if helping poor people is doing the right thing because you are providing them a means to not need to get their own means. |
what shitheads.
