Netbook Users - What OS?

I've installed and tested just about everything.

At the moment I'm running:

Mini 10v - OSX 10.6
Mini 9 - Jolicloud

Moblin is one that could turn out to be nice. Still needs some work though.

I have had two - asus eeepc 701 and a 900. I used the factory linux on the 701, and tried a few other things, but always went back to the factory.
on the 900, it came with windows, and the first thing I did was format and install easy peasy(ubuntu for netbooks). I dont really like it - to much bloat, and a lot of input lag. I use puppy for the EEE and love it. Its fast and wireless support is great. I have tried probably 15 other builds, but still have not found one better than puppy.

Moblin boots to desktop in about 12 seconds. That was impressive.

I just got an asus 1005ha running xp. Going to put bsd or linux as a dual boot. It's my first windows machine in a decade, I'm fine with xp on it for now.

Check out Jolicloud for a nice Linux distro. It's based off of Ubuntu.

Your machine is on the compatibility list.

It's so easy I think you'll be impressed by the work people have done.

All the info, files and help you'll need is right there.

Here's a good link too, but installs 10.5.x - you can get 10.6 working too.

I stuck with the Xandros setup that came with my Eeepc, but I did have to hack it up a bunch.

I am a Mac user, however, I purchased a Dell Mini 10 and put Windows 7 on it so I can at least have 1 windows machine to surf my sites with. I am quite happy with and installing it of a 4GB Thumb Drive was pretty easy.
