Google hates me.
my google anal is one big frown.
few years back, i was getting about 90k hits per day for months...then BAM! down to >1000 per day. yuch. cry. wtf. not banned. no blackhat. no adware. no hidden nonsense. nothing that i can think of that would even come close to pissing google off. all my link trades are legit with relative sites. i've tried changing scripts - no luck. i've changed layouts to a valid layout - no luck. what the hell can i do? http://pimpandhost.com/media/simple/...d40c48a5_1.jpg |

Looking at that, there is so many things going wrong it would be hard to start, but here's an attempt. Titles and Description all look like shit. Descriptions especially, they are borderline total spam, best bet is to REMOVE the descriptions that were generated and let google get their own. Right now they look like 1900 descriptions that were auto generated, and incorrectly on top of that. If you don't include any description tag at all, Google will pull its own descriptions for the page based on its content and theme, it is without a doubt, the best bet. (unless you have no text.) This way you will even see unique descriptions on different keyterms instead of one that covers all listings. Fix all the broken shit on the site, half the results I clicked went to broken pages or pages with the old stylings and broken links. Google has 1800 pages of your site spidered, how many of those pages are actually junk now? There is only a few on page things that really, truly matter, fucking up a couple of them will seal your fate. I didn't look very long but initial impression by the site search above shows some simple but amplified (due to the amount of pages) mistakes. |
jdoughs, thanks for that info. it's one of those things. appreciated.

wait...are you talking about meta descriptions, or the descriptions listed under the thumbs?
|
In my opinion I would strip the meta descript tag completely from the site and let google pull its own description.
This will also greatly increase your click throughs from the serps because google will show relevant descriptions in the serps based upon keyword. If you give them a meta description tag they use it, if dont, they get their own relevant to the keyterm. So with that said, you can have a different description for a 'gay dicks' search then a 'big dick' search, despite the fact they are listing the same page. This is achieved by simply not giving them a description meta, and letting them generate their own based on page content. NB. This is only good advice if you have text on all the pages. Which you appear to have. |
I never knew about that. I'm going to try it on a site of mine just to see.
|
I can show you a live example right now if you hit me up on ICQ.
I've been told by so many people that this is false and doesn't happen, but the proof should be SEEING it..haha. |
Jdoughs, thank for very helpful info. I'll try to do that with my sites also.
