Hell no, the wife is an investment, I paid for some of her college, and now she makes double what I make....cooks...cleans...and loves doing laundry. Plus a sexy Asian 9 years younger then me. :)

We usually find something in the middle like law and order, burn notice, natgeo, discovery, shows like that. She likes more of my esoteric tastes than I like hers. She can sit through star trek, but I can't watch a minute of the cooking channel, or those stupid house buying shows.

Sounds like a problem with your marriage rather than marriage in general. We have two tvs in the living room..then if somebody wants to play a game and the other wants to watch something..no problem.

Mine is waiting for her to go to bed so I can walk down the street and hang with the neighbors half the night.

It is something in her culture, they do laundry daily. I hide clothes so she does not wash them if I think there clean. It is like she has OCD when it comes to the laundry. In fact I might have to move or purchase an apartment that allows you to have a washer and dryer in the unit soon to make her happy...currently we have to walk accross the street. What sucks is giving up a place that only costs me 575.00 a month, a block from the subway, and 2 blocks from the handball courts I play at.
