There I was minding my own business updating one of my blogs and bam this cheeky little fucker goes and posts two spam comments right under my fucking nose ..Cheeky little fucker ... comments are now turned off... fuck the spammers

what about moderated comments + akismet spam filter? that's what I do

yeah they were in the admin moderation que. Iv turned comments off on all of my blogs now because I get so much crappy spam.. Its just not woth the hassle anymore

take the comment form out of the design

I used to have the same problem when doing blogs, guess its normal.

100% normal.

for adults blogs, i wouldn't really consider commenting needed, considering how it is hardly ever used anyways. so just disable it. if commenting adds value to your site and you want to include it, it's really not hard to rip through the moderation page once in a while.

spam should be expected. i look right passed it like spam in my inbox. no real fuss.

Akismet works wonders.
