I have quit salmon fishing for this year

...as the last few I caught are to dark in color and near death. In addition I have smoked enough salmon to last me until the salmon run next year. I caught more salmon this year than I have in my life time.

I will miss ours but I was going to skip it this year, the Chinook salmon are just way to limited. Pretty sure the season is Nov. 16th through Dec. 31st for the season this year, which is a two week delay. On top of that a one bag limit and possession limit. Catch and release is also now illegal, so you better like what you catch, assuming it is of size.
