Take some warm blankets in the car whenever you go towards places that can get cold in case of car wrecks, snow storms etc ;-

Bottle of unopened liquor or 12 pac beer and a book. Nothing is worse than being snowed in along a highway in a dry county.

I don't smoke much....but when i do, it's the very best....& it keeps me high for 8-10 hours, which is the maximum I'll drive without stopping at a hotel/motel/holllidaaay innn :1orglaugh

Video Camera and Digital Camera. Laptop would be good too. Make a nice little movie of your road trip when you get back. I always do that.

Fat Panda 11-15-2009 11:03 PM

PSSuperstars 11-15-2009 11:12 PM

Fav pillow of each passenger.. in case ya gotta stay in a shitty hotel with bad pillows :)

Elli 11-16-2009 12:53 AM

Snuggly blanket in case you do end up curling up in the car to wait out a traffic stoppage or waiting for the tow truck to come rescue you for whatever reason. Extra pair of winter socks if you have to go walkabout to get gas. More water than you think you'll need.

Limes so you don't get scurvy :)

Good luck and happy driving!

booze, weed, cash, several blankets. a good tent, and a couple of good sleeping bags.

Your driving? There is no real emergency things you need since any town you pass will have what you need.

Don't take anything like a laptop along etc, you're doing a road trip to enjoy the scenes - so do it. As long as you have an emergency cell and cash on hand you should be fine - you really want to have fun - get a tent, all the tools needed for camping and spend the 6days camping along your journey rather than stay in hotels.

If you're camping along the northeast coast this time of year, you're one hell of a trooper! :winkwink:
