Merchants - What's your decline/approval % on initial rebills?

Especially if you are doing any type of trials - what kind of approval/decline rate is expected?

Prior to the recession we were getting about 70% approval, then gradually declined to closer to 60%. Some days are atrocious though, below 40%.

Just wondered how others may be doing ...

beautifulfeetonline.com converts 9 out of 10 of my rebills. I am lucky and i have a shitload of exclusive hd content and models, so that may have something to do with it. I still have a member from 2006 :) And to thank him, I gave him 3 free months.

To avoid any confusion, I'm not talking about retention numbers per se...

Just credit card approval percentage

For instance if you have 10 rebills scheduled on a given day, I guess you're saying 9 of those go through.

depends on the traffic

4 out of 10 must suck balls, thank the cc companies for their credit callbacks :/

Depends on WHICH processor.

CCB, Verotel, or Zombaio.

Yeah I know some companies try various methods in order to avoid blockage. Like varying the rebill amount by $.01, changing descriptors all the time, etc.

Agreed it depends on traffic, I just thought basic lost cost trials converting to full price order numbers might have some similarities amongst site owners on here.

My rebill declines are at an all time high with 3rd party billers, and I don't even have trials.
