Package missing off porch...
Got home tonight from a trip to my girlfriends parents house in LA. The day before, we received a delivery confirmation saying the Blu-ray player we ordered was waiting on the porch.
We got home tonight, and it's not here. If we call FedEx and tell them it wasn't here... what will happen? Will they tell us to GFY? Should the issue be resolved through Amazon? |
Was there insurance? Why would you leave it out there for a day?
|
As long as there was a signature required and they dropped it anyways with nobody home, I would say it's Fed Ex's fault. Call them and find out I guess. Why ask here? lol

It was odd that it was delivered on Saturday. We didn't ask, request, or expect Saturday delivery. We were expecting it on Monday.
Now it's gone and I'm kinda pissed off. Anyone ever had this happen? How was it resolved? |
really, sad,
|
if you bought it with VISA, you should have it insured by them.
|
Call Fedex..tell them that the package is missing as they scan and get details of who they left it with...that should give you the first lead to go on and take it from there.
Im sure they got a sig as ususally they dont just leave stuff unsigned for. |

Signatures are needed! :thumbsup No worries, ring them & sort it.:2 cents: |
they left the package on the porch?
|
Normal procedure with home deliveries is to leave it on the porch. Don't you guys shop online?
|
I get stuff left on my porch all the time.

move out of da hood
My neighbors would never steal my packages that get left at my door. |
All the major shippers ever do is leave them on the porch unless the item was specifically requested to be signature, or adult signature required at checkout.
Second choice is to leave it with a neighbor, in which case they leave you an official notice that they've done so, and which address of the neighbor and when. Usually on a bright chartreuse or day glo orange sticker right on your door so you can see if from space. Third choice is to notify you that you were not home for the third and last time, they didnt leave it, they didnt leave it with a neighbor, and you must pick it up at the warehouse. |
amazon needs to changed that i had a video game bundle over $200 they left at my front door

Good news. I was looking out the side window earlier and saw it sitting between my car and the gate. Went to check it out, and sure enough... it was the missing Blu-Ray player.
Glad it wasn't stolen. I have renewed my faith in the world. |
Congrats to the winners.

my next order im getting that signature shit its like 70 cents
|
I've had a "recipient must sign" delivery left on my doorstep, with the online tracking showing it had been received and signed for. Drivers will do anything they can to do the least amount of work and spend the minimum time waiting. I guess he forged a signature.

Contact Amazon the company you purchased the item from, they are resposible making sure you get the item you ordered. They use UPS, FedEx, and USPS to ship. Amazon needs to do the trace on the item, and if there is an issue contact the company they used to deliver it. If you get involved you just might complicate things.
I know that UPS usually makes 3 attempts to deliver a package, if they can't get a signature they will send it back as not deliverable. Amazon once sent a book to my PO Box...the people at the PO were not responsible enough to make sure they put the slip in my box. So we call amazon telling them we never received the book, so they send out another book the same day to my jobs address UPS. They did not charge us again...but we did end up with 2 books. :upsidedow |
shipping company shouldn't have left it at the door
|
Yea, all of you saying they dont leave without a signature are just spouting shit off without knowing whats true...
As for UPS, they will leave any package unless addressed not to if the total declared worth is not over 1k. if anything else it is left on porch. Fed ex and UPS are very similar so i assume the value placement is similar. |

Fuck that tweaker up. |
Fedex are the ultimate in "We Don't Care." They once left an overnight envelope in a puddle of water by my door.
|
I find it interesting that most of the people complaining about FedEx or UPS don't live here.
Maybe service just sucks in other countries. |
If you purchase from Amazon they will most likely ship you a new item free of charge.

Do you understand why there was a problem? We were arriving home on Sunday night. Either way, it was our mistake because I found it hidden in front of my car this afternoon on the driveway. |

FedEx and UPS deliver on Saturdays...
Glad you found your package. Now you just have to deal with FedEx calling your local police about the false claim. That should be fun! |

Even if its an envelope the could go into the mail box they still require a signature. |
fedex is at fault here
|
what they leave packages at the porch ?? No neighbours in reach? Now the fed ex guy has a new BluRay player. :) Or you have the player + the money :winkwink:? Hope the insurance of Fedex pays for that mistake.
