How long to wait before outing a non paying program

Been trying to get my money out of a non paying program for a couple weeks now. I promoted them for 9 months via PPC campaigns, and then in July they decided to stop paying me because they claim I was bidding on the wrong keywords, but didn't say anything to me until I email them about my missing payment.

They don't owe me a ton of money, but these things always start small. Should I give them more time?

So, they didn't pay you your money for 4 or 5 months?
All your money or just a small sum is in dispute?
Personally, if my sponsors are inexcusably late or have a non acceptable explanation for not paying me, I leave.

If they made a change to your account to specifically stop paying you, you already know the answer to your question.

It might be better to ask others if they are having the same problem.. to find out of its an isolated issue or something larger.

Sometimes things come up and payments are late -- but it sounds like they are not going to pay you at all

I've been getting payments up until August. I've been sending them a small amount of sales since last March. I emailed the owner about 2 weeks ago and asked him what was up, and he said that I was bidding on the name of the site. I said no problem, it wasn't in their terms that they didn't allow that, and I've been getting paid on sales with the same campaign the whole time.

They haven't said they aren't going to pay me, and they even offered to pay me $100 per signup, but I said that I would rather just have the money that I am owed. That is the last I heard from them and that was last week.

I am curious what site this is.

Just sent him another email.

I am going to give them the benefit of the doubt and see if they decide to pay me by the end of the week. If not I am going to post all the details, then people can decide for themselves who is right and who is wrong.

Best of luck. Hope you get paid.

Mutt 12-02-2009 03:03 AM

that's bullshit, what do they care if you bid on the name of the site, a sale is a sale, a sale they wouldn't have made on their own OR they would have had to pay for the same campaign you did.

if I own AcmePorn.com I'm thrilled if people want to pay for PPC campaigns to promote AcmePorn.com - saves me the trouble and expense/risk. If you're going to have an affiliate program don't compete against your affiliates.

My thoughts exactly.

Also, it would be a different story if they told me not to promote them with those keywords when I first started, but I did this for 6 months and got regular payments, until one day they decided to stop paying me WITHOUT telling me to stop. They let me keep sending traffic without saying a word. Especially in these times when there are less and less affiliates, you would think they would be happy to have an affiliate sending legitimate sales.

I'll give them to the end of the week to make this right.
