Bloggers; how often should I be posting?

I've got a blog http://www.cuteasianlovers.com/ that actually got me involved in adult. I'm hand writing content for it and promoting IdolBucks's Asian niche websites.

For SEO purposes/bookmarks/whatever, how often should I be posting? Is once a day too little? Obviously the best answer is 20 posts a day but that'll just burn me out (and my content)

Tips, suggestions, ideas anyone?

Thanks in advance.

At least a real post every 1-3 days.

bloggerz 12-05-2009 06:43 AM

once a day is perfect :2 cents:

By real post you mean? The current format is the way I plan to keep it for every post henceforth. IE 4-8 pictures and a 80-100 word description of what's going on.

I wanted to build a user base before I started using ads. I only get 90~100 unique hits a day.

for "seo purposes" its almost 100% irrelevant how often you post. updates will make bots come back more frequently... but those posts won't make you rank better for anything.

Wouldn't Google rate a blog that updates often over one that doesn't update at all? Or is the difference really small?

how many tgps fill the top 10 spots for competitive terms?

it only mattered before with blogs because they created more pages ... which in turn, created more PR and helped the site rank better for any phrase on a page with PR or those high PR pages passed some to other pages, helping them rank etc.

it doesn't work like that right now.

you can build a static page and rank just as easily as you can build a complex, constantly updated site and rank.

Pleasurepays 12-05-2009 07:37 AM

case in point.. "teen sex"

how often do you think that number 1 result is updated?

As I see you are starting with Asian ... good choice . You can update your blog every two days , using like 200 - 300 words , more words even better :pimp
I hope I can offer you few Asian sites , as I see your blog is still empty :

Sponsor : Pimp Roll
Sites : Anally Asian / Asian Exotics / Indecent Asians / Real Asian Amateurs

Good luck buddy :thumbsup

correct. although with a blog - if you do it correctly - your post titles and categories can rank well for whatever terms you target.

with respect to ranking... there is nothing different about "a blog" and any other site type. pages are pages... page titles, are page titles... article titles are article titles... page content, is page content... back links are back links. and currently, there is nothing advantageous about using a "blog" to rank for a phrase. most are a convenient cms, but that has little to do with ranking for a phrase.

I guess updates once in 3 days would work well.

Nikitos 12-05-2009 11:34 AM

The more updates the better i think. If you can do that daily that's just great.

fatfoo 12-05-2009 11:44 AM

As often as you can. Why not make like 100 posts, and postdate them so they post automatically like 1 post a day.
