Should I make it a pay site or free & have sponsors & ads?
Ok as of right now I'm going to go with making mine a pay site.
I'm going to charge 9.99 for monthly regular members & 19.99 for business profiles. I figure even if I could get 1000-3000 people within the first 6 months to a year I'd be happy. The website will include nude photography, chats, music, reviews, articles live chats, forums, videos etc. A lot of things also. And its going to be based around a social network platform, so everyone will have their own personal linkable profiles like other networks out there. But there is always the option of doing a free site with sponsors & ads... but I'm worried that wont make enough to pay the bills like a pay site could. What do you guys suggest these days? Is there still life in pay sites? I would assume so since others within my area are charging their members a monthly fee. Thoughts? |
Heres a little more info:
www.PunkRockPrincess.com Check it out, there is only a splash page as we finalize everything, but you can kinda get a feel between that and then this look also: http://www.new-heights.net/punkrockprincess/draft1.html The second one is my myspace layout & more finished than the main one, but its still not the final product yet. Let me know what you guys think. Right now I am marketing on myspace & twitter. I am not going live until I have at least 10k myspace friends that I've directly marketed within my niche. I also market on xpeeps. That is just the initial surge of members. From there along with my main PRP girls, the members should hopefully draw in more traffic by inviting their friends & it will spiderweb from there. I will continue to do my thing & market to my target niche with myspace, twitter & eventually facebook. I will be looking for traffic else where, but by my specific marketing on myspace & twitter, I am already gaining VERY quality leads for the intial sign up. It may be a little different than most of you are used to, but I think it is going to be highly effective. |
I will also be doing SEO.
Once I go live & there are members posting all kinds of things though... SEO will be much easier much quicker. |
The idea sound original, but what I don't understand is why members of a pornsite would want to connect in a social network? Seems to me that they want to stay off the radar.. With whom will they be connecting? Other members? Why would they want that?

The alternative community is a little different than most. We're all freaks & weirdos & we know it & openly express it. For some reason porn & alternative community can can go hand in hand. Look at all the other sites in my niche, not all were successful, but its mostly because of garbage content they were producing. I plan on only putting out a high level product. |
