David Mann Chopper Fest (pics)
 

Since it was Sunday, and the clouds did not look too bad, I decided to take a ride up the coast to Ventura for the 6th Annual David Mann Chopper Fest.

If you do not know who David Mann is, but you have seen artwork depicting the biker lifestyle, it was most likely done by him. He was "the mann" when it came to artwork and he did it from 1963 to 2003. He died in 2004.

Baddog, I think youd really like some of the artwork my step father did in the joint...

It resembles David Mann's work a little.

Let's see if I can get them to snap some shots...

Aren't most of those pictures Bobbers? Never really understood the true difference of the two anyways.

A bobber is a stock bike that has had rear fender cut short, fat bob tanks, maybe no front fender, and the stock 2 into 1 exhaust.

A chopper will have smaller tank, modified [upsweep] exhaust, no floor boards, maybe a sissy bar.


The knuckle is almost a bobber and the pan I am sitting on would be a chopper.
