so HARD to shop for family... ideas?

My dad has to be one of the worst people to buy presents for. Normally we just buy him gift cards to best buy and that does the trick :1orglaugh

But now thinking about it, hes sort of like me when it comes to "toys." I am very picky and research the shit out of things and read reviews before I buy them... which also drove my gf crazy as she is trying to buy me xmas gifts and I cant really give her ideas

I was thinking about getting him a new remote, but not sure if thats the best idea. He has one of those logitech ones now, but I know it doesnt work with all of his toys, like Vudu Box, Apple TV, etc. I've tried to contact Logitech support and its worthless.

I even thought about getting him the charging station for his iPod touch, blackberry and other things but he made the comment to us over thanksgiving about how he doesn't want to use another case on the back of this stuff and likes the ones he has

:mad: Argh this is tough and I hate the holidays. Not that I really have to go crazy about it, but I would like to get them something that says "I care"

My Dad is also one of the hardest people to buy something for. He lost his pocket knife during his hike of the Appalachian trail during the summer, so I have bought him a replacement.

How about an ebook reader?

Or

www.allenbrothers.com for meats... Never fails to impress.

Does he like to drink?

You could get him good crystal whiskey glasses, limited edition bottle of his favorite brand, etc.

.

Hes already got the kindle thing from Amazon and had the sony one before that. I thought about getting him this video player that you can plug your iPod touch into so he could watch movies while he travels, but he told me a little while ago he reads on the plane or reviews work docs

every year he gets some huge steak thing from his company and usually gives them to me... pretty excited for them this year hahaha

Lots of grandbabies around? or wildlife?

My parents got a flip cam about 6 mos ago... and I swear they upload videos daily... They love that thing... Mom prancing around showing her weightloss... Dad stalking deer and turkey and raccoons with it... I swear he sends me a new deer video every single week...

and where it's just plug in, upload.. they adore it...

Granted, an expensive cam has better quality.. but most in that 50-70 age group love the flip cam for the size and ease of use...

And the HD ones are pretty cheap at Sam's Club right now...

Yeah my dad is the WORST to buy for.

Basically because he says he hates xmas and doesn't ask for anything lol.

If you give somebody cash as a present, you don't have to worry that you gave them a present that they didn't need.
