Why don't they just say FREE LAND TO ANYONE WHO NEEDS IT. It would be gone in a week. There are hundreds of thousands of other displaced Africans who NEED land but live in make shift camps instead living day to day. Why don't they get the offer?

Considering there's a $300 GDP (PPP) per capita advantage to living in Senegal, if I were Haitian and lost all my stuff in the earthquake, I'd consider it. The Senegalese president also pointed out that whatever land that will be distributed will be in the arable region of the country--Senegal has many desert areas.
