Have you ever worked for a fastfood join? Post your experience here
Right after high school, I worked for these guys. Paris Hilton ad notwithstanding, they make the best burgers in Southern California except for In N Out Burger.
Post the burger joint's logo (fair use for commentary/illustrative purposes only) http://i45.tinypic.com/2vdk28m.jpg |

My first job out of the Marines was fast food - Weinerschnitzel. It's a hot dog chain mostly in California. Laugh if you want, but working fast food was fun. It was fast paced, every day was different, and lots of chicks to meet.
I ended up becoming good friends with the owners long after I left, and I filled in when they were short handed from time to time. When I worked at the phone company I was making $70k a year but had a split shift, meaning I had four hours off in the afternoons - during their busiest period. So I ended up working part time for free - They used to buy me gifts on Ebay instead of paying me cash. That's where I met my wife. She thought she was picking up someone who worked in a fast food restaurant. She had no idea I was making twice as much as she was. |
I never worked at a burger joint, but I worked at Lil' Cs almost all through high school-
http://www.zvents.com/images/interna...59_primary.jpg It was a blast. I think every teenager should work at a pizza joint at some point. I wouldn't say the food was "good", but we used to experiment when we were bored and try to improve on the product :1orglaugh. I would say at least we were consistantly better than dominos. If I ever get to a point where I've made enough in this to want to "retire" I'd like to open up a place that serves pizza and has pinball. That would make me happy. |
one night.

While in university I delivered pizza until I found out the great world of gallery submitting :D

I'd never lower myself to that level.
Talking of which, how is Batts these days? |
The closest I came was when I was in high school I worked for a small convenience store that also had gas pumps. I did everything from pump gas to stocking shelves to running the register. They had a small deep fried "deli" that sold burritos, chicken, jo jo potatoes and other stuff. It was a great job for a high school kid.
I have a friend that worked at McDonald's for a while and another that got turned down for a job at McDonald's. They don't him he just wasn't McDonald's material. I told him I wasn't sure if he should be happy or sad about that. |
I ate here a lot as a kid... Never had a job...

Not the location I worked at, just the last one left. Worked here in my teens. Cute waitresses, excellent burgers and build your own sundaes.
http://static.px.yelp.com/bphoto/uxa...E6g-sbJIcdeQ/l I liked restaurant work. Worked at Charlie's in Bellevue and at Shilshole Bay Marina in my early 20's. Great job with lots of party people. http://farm2.static.flickr.com/1011/...c55681.jpg?v=0 Sometimes I regret having ever left restaurant work. |

When they went bankrupt or whatever happened to them some time ago a guy took over their old place and turned it into a neighborhood pizza joint. I damn near bought it from him last year when he was having some IRS problems. Currently looking to open up another place for me to hang out and get me away from the online thing. I'm probably going to go the bar route but considering another small BBQ and beer joint at first and progress. I've had one before and it did pretty good but it was in a part of town where the rent became ridiculous on resigning so I shut it down. |
I'll bookmark this thread and answer in a near future...

Didn't work for fast food, the closest was delivering packages for a web shop. The most fun work days ever. I loved to ride my bike and get paid for it! |
I worked at an In-N-Out for about two weeks, the smell of ketchup (even though I think it's tasty) makes me want to vomit, so when I had to take out a bag of trash that was mostly thrown away ketchup containers... I puked, and quit.
Only time I ever worked in fast food. |

The primary one I worked at amazingly is still open, but they do this "Hot N Ready" BS where they have the pizzas sitting out in the boxes on some heated rack, so nothing's made to order anymore and it ALL tastes like cardboard. Not that it was awesome before, but at least it was made fresh and wasn't flavored by the box it came in. Caesars is pretty dead in the US but in Canada it's like the #1 pizza chain. It's called Pizza Pizza up there. The pizza is pretty much the same though they seem to have alot more toppings and the breadsticks are pre made- go in the oven frozen, so it's not really the same as US crazy bread. It's pretty weird. http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3594/...0824a94e6d.jpg -from one of the ones in Toronto. |
i never worked at fast food, but did work at Kmart for a few weeks. when i got hired, i was supposed to work in sporting goods, but the manager who hired me had left between the time i was hired and when i started so when i got there, they put me as a cashier.
I couldnt take the day to day bullshit of customers complaining about everything and the front end managers who thought they were 2nd to Jesus himself. The one manager was this fugly midget who would use her height as an excuse for everything, including doing any work. She would always try to scheldule me to work friday and saturday nights, then have to work first thing sunday, so I took it to the store manager and she got in trouble. the day i quit, I took all of her shit and put it on top of the lockers in the employee lounge so even with a chair, she couldnt reach it :1orglaugh |
