Sorry to hear that. Do you think it has anything to do with stress?

It has to do with being grossly overweight. Proper diet and exercise will usually help to bring ones sugar levels under control

it's directly due to lack of exercise and excessive eating

you don't remember??? Well you had my sympathy until you made that comment. Now I'm starting to think you're just making shit up.

FYI: there's only three major types

I go for my in depth meeting about all the details and what I have to do with a nurse on Thursday....

this was just a FAST meeting with my doctor about the results from my blood test.

xxweekxx 01-18-2010 11:06 PM

dude any normal person with a brain cell would know what type of diabetes you have.. During the fast meeting the doc would have told you.. so you forgot.? lol makes no sense.. you prolly just trying to get sympathy

Better answer than I don't remember ;)

If you don't need needles it's probably type 2 or GDM. Although GDM is mostly found in pregnant woman ;) and then developes into type 2.

when did I ever say I was normal...

he told me I have it - gave me some sample pills and scheduled me an appointment with his nurse that goes though everything on Thursday. We had other business to talk about, my doctor is one of my friends....it was a 5 min appointment.

then I went to lunch with him and had some greasy Chinese food and talked about things other than health and his office.

Cause you're "Sleazy" and you like playing people..lol

Either way if you don't need needles they'll tell you to change your diet, unless you're pregnant and just not telling anyone.

If you are call up Springer or Wilkos. I'm sure that would pay off your debts.

Sleazy you need to read this.

Get on THE ZONE diet. A lot of ppl with your condition lose weight and get better naturally.

madawgz 01-19-2010 01:02 AM

fuck that sucks, do some exercise and get your health under control

quiet 01-19-2010 01:17 AM

dude. it is time to seriously start exercising. everyday. doesn't have to be much at first, but it should be daily. just go for a long walk, everyday. diet: there are tons of good, tasty things to make, that are healthy. if you aren't ready to start making your own healthy shit, just at least go to freaking subway for dinner and get the chicken or turkey on whole grain without any mayo or bacon, and lots of veggies. spices are your friend, they make everything taste much better, and they don't add calories. double up the mustard even.

Bossman 01-19-2010 01:18 AM

Sorry to hear that... however fear not, follow the advice you will get from the nurses/doctors, and stay positive knowing that lots of progress is being made in treatment and possible future cure.

Fat Panda 01-19-2010 01:18 AM

work out.....

Not so bad.

Maybe this is the wake up call you needed to get in shape.

candyflip 01-19-2010 06:42 AM

Your pity party continues. You must be eating this shit up.

Look at yourself in the mirror man, it's obvious as to why you're now diabetic.

wild johnny 01-19-2010 07:35 AM

Time to pay attention to your health and keep it under control..

diabetes is a nasty one if it gets out of control...

PXN 01-19-2010 07:36 AM

Sorry to hear man, get well soon. It' most likely you have type II Diabetes, you are taking in too much sugar/glucose and your body does not have enough or can't produce enough insulin.

It reversible it you start working out and loose weight. It up to you now to take control and do it. Best of luck.

As i thought, i know people can really struggle with this, i know someone who was quite skinny and ballooned to an icnredibly huge size, i am led to believe related to diabetes.
Quite scary to think!

Michael O 01-19-2010 08:51 AM

Are you still very overweight? If you are consider a gastric bypass, its hell the first couple of months but I have lost 175lbs down from 400 and one of the side effects is that 80% or more of the patients with diabetes see great improvements of their diabetes or it disappear all together.

Sarah_Jayne 01-19-2010 09:08 AM

Take control of it and you will be okay. This is your body saying there are no excuses any longer. Listen to it.

Well then your doc needs to have his license revoked. No way any doctor worth his salt diagnoses a patient without providing a full consultation. "You have AIDS but we'll meet later to talk about how serious it is."

WTF!!!! You grow more pathetic with each bite and IF this diabetes shit is true, you get exactly what you deserve for failing to realize the first thing you take care of in this world is you and you alone. If not true, seems this is a ploy to get sympathy for letting yourself decay to this point.

C-Luv 01-19-2010 09:34 AM

Sorry to hear your bad news. Remember to eat small meals thought the day and exercise. You feel much better!

The last place i'd post my doctors visit is GFY... you seriously need this much attention?

Sheech. Kinda feel sorry for you, but you deserve what you get.

diabetes is very manageable if you follow your doctors guidelines, if you stray you will be in for a very painful ride. Take care of yourself

lazycash 01-19-2010 10:37 AM

The good news is that with the diet and lifestyle changes you're going to have to make you're gonna lose some serious weight. The bad news is if you aren't disciplined enough to make the necessary changes, then you're going to have some serious health ramifications.

weekly 01-19-2010 10:41 AM

There is a diabetes epidemic. If you are fat. Eat packaged foods. Fast foods. Smoke (exacerbates it) you have a huge...huge chance of getting diabetes. That is for all of you who are overweight.
The good news is, if you don't need insulin, you can control it by a radical lifestyle change. And you have only one choice. Eat better, exercise, slowly bring your weigh down (rapid weight loss will most likely make it worse and give you gallstones), or you will progress rapidly to type one and then you are fucked. Its a form of heart disease that fucks with your circulation (which is why smoking is very bad). You can lose your feet and legs quite rapidly and it can also lead to blindness. This isn't tinfoil hat scare shit, it is a fact. Look it up or ask your doctor or the people at the clinick that will show you what you need to do. I don't actually trust that you have it because I think you are a compulsive attention whore on this board. But if you really do good luck because you have one last chance to smarten up before you advance to a very lift threatening debilitating disease.
Oh yeah stay away from any diet pop or anything with fake sugars. Your system will not be able to handle them.
I have a lot of experience in my family and know this stuff.

LeRoy 01-19-2010 10:42 AM

Take care of yourself dude

the hardest thing i've ever done was to start exercising and stick with it. the eating well thing takes some practice, but once you get on a regime you will not even notice that part. i think at this point i could pretty much be a nutritionist. lol.

good luck man. it all starts with eating healthy. then exercise. your mind follows.

:thumbsup
