for you old timers here ...
Carl Smith, the "Country Gentleman", huge country star with tons of top hits in the 50's and 60's, passed away at his home in Tennessee. I worked as a DJ in the 60's at Country Radio WKNX and met him on one of his tours of Country stations. Super nice person, down to the ground, and always had time to sit down and chat. County music lost one of its finest. Remember, "Hey, Joe"? One of my favorites. :)
