Does anyone have any contacts at ebay to help with stolen content?

Some asshole is ripping off my content (as well as others) and selling cd's.

I reported the listing and guess what, ebay hides behind the digital millennium bullshit also.

Even worse you can't get any real info on the cock sucker! not even an email.

http://cgi.ebay.com/Bikini-Girls-Pho...aultDomainQ5f0

Some of this is my content, and some looks like my competitors.

If you look at his other niche sets he's selling a lot of different sites stuff.

Even some muscle stuff, so Venus, you might want to take a look if you read this.

So does anyone have any contacts at ebay that might help can this cock sucker?

Instead of just doing this:

This is my reply i got from ebay:

Dear Chad,

Thank you for writing eBay in regard to an item you want to report.

If you believe that a listing or item posted on eBay infringes your
intellectual property rights, the Verified Rights Owner (VeRO) Program
may be able to assist you.

As you may know, eBay does not buy or sell any items. We act only as a
venue that helps buyers and sellers to do so. We neither see nor inspect
any items that are offered for sale on eBay. However, we recognize that
some posted items may infringe certain intellectual property rights. For
this reason, we have created the VeRO Program, which enables
intellectual property rights owners to identify and request the removal
of allegedly infringing listings.

The many benefits of participating in VeRO include:

- Direct access to a support team dedicated to addressing rights owners'
requests and processing Notices of Claimed Infringement (NOCIs)
- The ability to request the removal of listings that infringe your
intellectual property rights by using the NOCI form
- The ability to request detailed contact information for sellers who
post listings that may infringe your intellectual property rights

How to File a NOCI Report
The first time you file a NOCI, you will need to download, complete, and
submit the document to eBay by fax. If you need to submit subsequent
NOCIs after your initial fax has been processed, you will be able to do
so online.

-- Note --
To view and print the NOCI, you need to have Adobe Acrobat Reader
installed on your computer. If you don't already have the program, you
can download Acrobat Reader for free from Adobe's Web site. To do so, go
to:

http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/readstep2.html

To download a copy of the NOCI form, go to:

http://pages.ebay.com/help/community/NOCI1.pdf

Please be sure to complete all sections of the form, sign, and fax the
NOCI to:

eBay Inc.
ATTN: VeRO
(408) 516-8811

If you have any additional questions, feel free to contact us at the
following email address:

the requirements of the Digital Millennium Copyright Act, 17 U.S.C.,
Section 512. To read the Digital Millennium Copyright Act, go to:

Thank you for your time.

"~NOTE TO EBAY!~

All of the photography on the CD is non-copywritten. There are no copywright violation contained is this collection. This IS NOT a violation of Ebay policy. If there is a problem, please contact me. This is a collection of photographs that I have compiled myself. I did not prchase a disc a make copies, or anything else of that nature"

That's fucked up.

BV 01-26-2010 12:45 PM

Thank's for the help on ICQ juicy.

This guys days are numbered.

Scootermuze 01-26-2010 05:05 PM

Seems to me, with Ebay being informed and doing nothing to assist, they should be held liable for negligence.

Buy a cd and use it as evidence in a civil suit.. maybe even a class action suit if ya get others that own some of the content.

Scootermuze 01-26-2010 05:17 PM

Further.. Ebay is profiting directly from the sale of this stolen content..

---------------------------------------

Heather McDonald, partner at law firm Baker Hostetler, said: "eBay has policies and procedures in place where they will intervene in an action between a buyer and seller if there's a problem, and they profit directly on the basis of every item that is sold on their Web site.

"This gives them an affirmative obligation to take steps to make sure that illegal goods aren't sold, and they certainly have the ability to do that.

"If counterfeits appear on our site, we take them down swiftly," eBay spokeswoman Sravanthi Agrawal said.

Stolen content should apply as well..

pocketkangaroo 01-26-2010 07:12 PM

Yeah, Ebay really doesn't give a shit about stolen or ripped off goods for sale. I've seen some bad fakes on there in the memorabilia area and have reported it but never seen a listing go down.

just bid on his stuff and ask him for address to mail money order from canada. or pay with paypal and see if he has address there.
Or, find out his paypal email and send shit load of small payments and then file fraud alerts.

BV 01-26-2010 07:16 PM

They make it impossible to call anyone. Really starting to piss me off.

I don't think there is enough money involved to sick a lawyer on it.

It's more depressing than anything to be honest.

You see someone doing wrong and ripping you off and you really can't do anything about it.

And in this case you can't even find out who it is because there is no host to look up and the guy is anonymous behind EBay's network.

Ayla_SquareTurtle 01-26-2010 07:22 PM

The really pathetic thing is that sellers who post LEGIT stuff (say, real Levis or real LV purses) get shut down ALL THE TIME for no reason.

DBS.US 01-26-2010 07:23 PM

If they don't take it down, buy it and wait a few weeks ask ebay and paypal for the guys contact info because he never sent it.

DBS.US 01-26-2010 07:28 PM

From his auction:
All of the photography on the CD is non-copywritten material. There are no copywright violation contained is this collection. This IS NOT a violation of Ebay policy. If there is a problem, please contact me. This is a collection of photographs that I have compiled myself. I did not prchase a disc a make copies, or anything else of that nature. All models are amateurs over the age of 18.:1orglaugh
