I come from a state, Rhode Island, that is highly unionized. The public sector unions run the state with an iron fist. They even tried to unionize the babysitters. I can tell you first hand how awful it is. Taxes are the highest in the country, and business climate is the worst. Many many many companies packed up and left, and the job market went POOF. Unemployment is the highest in the country.
