Three cruise liners were going to be docked in Vancouver as Olympic hotels

They all fucked off yesterday. Nobody bothered booking any rooms on them.

Nobody is coming to this shit fest.

The funny thing is that it took Montreal 20 years to recover from their disastrous Olympics and then they went and bid for another one!

:1orglaugh

FACE IT CANADA, NOBODY WANTS TO COME AND SEE YOU.

It's gonna rain, and rain, and rain, and rain. . .

Dark, dank, gloomy on the wretched Grandville mall crawling with crystal meth addicts....

It'll really do wonders for the ol' Olympic spirit.

I heard that they were relocating the addicts to Calgary (via bus). :1orglaugh

I never understood why some cities work so hard to get the Olympics. All you ever hear about is how much money it costs the city and that they end up in debt when it is over. The same for the TV side. I read that NBC will lose 200 million dollars broadcasting the Olympics. Then why do they do it?

I wonder if they make the money back indirectly. Bragging rights to sell ads on their other sports programs, etc.
