Changing dentists: Go w/ money grubbing dentist or thoughtful dentist?

Thinking about changing dentists, called a new one the other day when I popped a filling. The girl that answers tells me it would be cheaper to come in for a consultation as the first visit and get a game plan as to what I need to have done. xrays, workup etc... But said they probably won't fix the filling I lost on the first visit, I am like WTF. Sounds like they are more interested in the $$ than my tooth health.

Dealt with this kind of dentist before, won't do what you ask them too, they do what they think will keep you coming back. anyone else ever dealt with this?

The problem, my dentist is 2.5 hours away, so do I go with the one that will say, "oh you lost a filing come on in and we will fix it right away!" thats 2.5 hours away or go with the local that doesn't really care as long as they get as much $$ as possible out of me?

best thing to do, is to go to a new dentist with digital equipment, they will promote it, these guys are the latest trained, have amazing tools, and are not any more expensive.

They also are about 10,000 times more safe on implants and that kind of work. they can align the post to 99.99% accuracy, as opposed to someone blindly drilling into your skull.

The trick is filling out the application, to let them know you HAVE MONEY... they don't rip you, but they wont give you the good stuff if you act cheap, or look slumish..

Mark on the application you make more, or want to spend more.. however they are trying to find out your concerns...

For example...
When you visit the dentist, your main concern is..

Price
Quality.
blah
blah

Dont ever pick price, or you will get crap parts in your mouth

Never use a dentist that always is pushing metal on your back teeph, unless you really need the extra support and no you are not allergic.. They push this cuz its cheap and easier for them, not good for your health.
