You really are a nasty little fat man aren't you.

No wonder you're the most despised and ridiculed person on these boards. The sad thing is, you seem to relish that. A sad indictment of who you are. Take a look in the mirror buddy, a full length one (or two, as required).

Been in Vancouver all my life, wouldn't want to live anywhere else

tigermtb 02-21-2010 08:51 PM

Posted this vid to the JuicyAds twitter awhile back, I still LOVE it.

Big fan of the apartments and scenery in Vancouver. Would love to live there since there's just so much in BC that I enjoy, but I like living somewhere that it doesn't take an hour to get somewhere.

Iron Fist 02-21-2010 09:35 PM

Visited Vancouver a few times, love the city... really is a city that doesn't sleep. I always amazed me, I was in the west end of Van, and it's 3 in the morning and people are up and walking their dogs.. that always amazed me.

Elli 02-21-2010 09:37 PM

Ahh today was a gorgeous day in the Vancouver sunshine. I wouldn't trade this for anywhere else :)

I think I'll stick with Sydney, it's a lot warmer. Similar city from the looks of things. :thumbsup

Cant believe how nice it is here...

Bman 02-21-2010 10:02 PM

I live in the tall building at the 2:14 mark on the right handside...thats my view all day...forget how nice it is

CunningStunt 02-21-2010 10:03 PM

The temp read 42 degrees C when I got in my car at midday. I could do with some coldness right now. I'll go talk to my wife, that should do it.

42C is too bloody hot. I lived in Tucson for a year and that was too much for me. I max out at about 33C in 70% humidity. :)

I love this city :) The olympics are absolutely amazing.. this city has it all, however there's a reason why it's the least affordable city to buy a house in, in the world.

I thought it was Moscow in terms of living costs too. Had to look it up - Japan and their 2 major cities have kicked Moscow into 3rd place: http://www.mercer.com/costofliving

That's cost of living overall, not just house prices.

Van is up there but I don't think it's the top - it's possible for the few months before the olymipics that happened but there will be a drop in a couple weeks cause that's a local short term phenomenon.

love that video and music, it is hard to say but ehhhhh, thanks. :thumbsup

Me too. The people seem laid back and cool too in the main. I've dealt with lots of Canadians over the years, and I've only ever disliked one. :1orglaugh

_Richard_ 02-22-2010 01:56 PM

there's lots of nice places to visit, but there is only one place to come home to

It's the top http://www.vancouversun.com/life/Van...683/story.html (posted above) and it was the top last year as well:

Frontier senior policy analyst and Canadian representative David Seymour said in an interview that the Vancouver results weren?t unexpected.

?It wasn?t a great surprise. [Vancouver] was at the top of the list last year as well, or on the bottom of the list, depending on your perspective.?

Report authors Wendell Cox and Hugh Pavletich, who based their findings on 2009 third-quarter data, said that to be affordable, housing prices have to be equivalent to approximately three years? income.

In 2009, Canada as a whole became slightly less affordable. The Median Multiple of Canadian metropolitan markets was 3.7, up from 3.5 in 2008.

It's a GREAT place to buy a house...

or you could buy mine... Im an hour out of the city... lovely place :)

Close enough your there if you want fun things to do but you avoid daily traffic. I go to Coquitlim to shop for furniture... Burnaby has MetroTown a lovely shopping mall for clothes. Almost like west ed mall without the attractions.

And White Rock is my absolute favorite place for lunch and a walk on the beach.

A Great place to live :)

BTW the opposite of Love is not Hate. The opposite of Love is Indifference.

Love and Hate are actually similar emotions.
