want work: video/image/editing/encoding/writing
 

By day, I manage the Video department for a larger affiliate program that shall go unnamed. Capturing, editing, and encoding is part of my normal day-to-day/nine-to-five. When needed, I help out with minor graphics and html work here and there as I've familiar enough with them both to get by. By night, I'm a small-ish webmaster having run two legal tubes and a small 40+ blog network for the last two or so years. I'm a grammar nazi and pride myself on being well-written and well-spoken, so I'm also looking into writing for blog posts/reviews/etc. I'm US/West Coast based, English is my native language, and with my wife being laid off recently, I am QUITE motivated to work. Here are some of the things I'm open to doing:

• Video Editing
  - Less of the motion graphics side and more of the compiling raw footage to an actual scene (and creating B-reel material) side.
  - I have a deck and can capture from tape if needed*

• Video Encoding
  - Mobile/Streaming/HD, anything. And if you don't have specs already, I'll be more than happy to suggest what I feel is best for your site/project.

• HTML
  - I'd consider myself to have average/better than average webmaster HTML knowledge. Aside from going from PSD to HTML, I've managed and edited all of my sites personally (though they're nothing crazy). Let me know what you're looking for and I'll let you know if I'm capable.

• Image Editing/Photoshop
  - I've been working with Photoshop for quite awhile now, so I know my way around it fairly well. I can do minor touching up and correcting in addition to the grunt batching, resizing, etc.

• Writing
  - I've yet to do any writing work for anyone other than myself and for my blogs, but I wouldn't mind making some extra money doing this for others. If interested, I can provide samples and pricing.

I use Sony Vegas, Adobe Photoshop/Dreamweaver/Media Encoder daily, and have a decent amount of experience with After Effects, Illustrator, and Soundbooth. After playing with Visual Basic and Photoshop as a kid, I've been hooked on the dev/tech side of computing since. I'm a fast learner and consider myself to be smarter than the average bear.
