There are a few smartphone web dev books from Apress.

Beginning Smartphone Web Development has a lot of great info to get you started.

when are people going to get it?

there is no such thing as an internet for mobile phones... when people surf the interweb using a mobile phone, they are browsing the same sites as you access via a desktop pc..

so making a site *ONLY* for mobile is quite stupid as you will lose 98% of traffic that is from non-mobile sources.

I dont have a phone.. but I heard from alot of people who do that they like when a site is mobile optimized instead of having to do all this zoom in zoom out stuff.. maybe I'm wrong..

A site optimized to recognize wheter the surfer has a mobile phone or a desktop pc, is quite different from a "Mobile only" site.

That's why I am trying to learn about site design that works well on mobile phones so I can design sites that work well for both the desktop and mobile market.

Danielle

I don't use ICQ. It's way to much of a distraction to me. :) Got another way to contact you?

Hugs,
Danielle

Market is still limited. I'll wait for another year.
