You may want to take a look at "KB Advanced RSS Widget" if you want more customization features.
I don't have 30 posts so I can't add a clickable link, but it's available at...

www . WordPress . org / extend / plugins / kb-advanced-rss-widget /

(you have to remove the spaces)

They use FeedWordPress plugin to automatically populate blog content with RSS feeds from sponsors.

Sidebar use standard RSS reader widgets.

What are the advantages of using this one over RSS Widgets? I can't see an obvious difference.

I haven't used the basic RSS Widget since I started using the KB Advanced RSS Widget some years ago so I'm not sure I could give you an up-to-date answer. I can only tell you that the KB widget has more customization options built into it, which allow you to display the content with more control than the basic widget gives you.

Some examples would be adding an RSS icon to the feed, hiding the widget when the feed is down, reversing the order of the items in the feed, converting it to UTF-8 if needed, linking the post title to the feed url (or not), plus formatting options which let you add HTML code before and after the feed, displaying the pubdate element the way you want it, along with formatting the actual items inside the feed itself. You can also control the elements in the feed entries by setting things like total number of characters and how many characters should be skipped before starting to count the characters to appear (very useful for feeds which have the same words at the start of every post title).

There's more you can do with it, but that should give you a some examples of things that I believe the basic widget will not do.
