Haven't seen confirmation yet, but twitter and facebook both have people reporting this. What an odd day.

4.4 Earthquake hits Lincoln County OKLAHOMA


nothing major but an odd place for a quake.

Didn't they announce a year or two ago that they'd found a new fault line running right down the center of the US?

Ya still not seeing it on national news anywhere really.

There's a massive one but it's fairly well-known. Some say if/when it goes off there will be mass destruction. Who knows.

If you wanna talk about odd time and place place to experience an earthquake, I felt a significant shaking of the tall hi-res condo building in Toronto where I was filming one of my old "Canadian Stripper Search" DVDs back in the mid-late 90's during what I knew was an earthquake one afternoon. The other two people in the room with me were busy fucking so no one else believed me until the next day we read in the newspaper that there apparently there was a decent sized quake originating in the north-central US that was felt around the Michigan, Ohio & Ontario regions.

It was nice knowing you, my fellow humans.

I am not shocked at how wrong you can be.

I lived on the big island for a few years after katrina... supposedly there are earthquakes all the time I never felt one.. dont know where I was.

Yeah it's called the New Madrid fault and it was discovered in 1812
