Try Microsoft Security Essentials. Read Review or Download. It's free, uses minimal resources and never gets in your way the way most other anti-virus apps do. Definitely won't slow your pc down.

AVG is good too. They also have a free version that works fine.

I using malware antibytes and it works fine. Also antiviruses are bad when it comes to spyware detection and removal,so you need to have two tools installed.

StrokeKing 03-09-2010 06:12 PM

Kaspersky

Juicy D. Links 03-09-2010 06:17 PM

Windows 7 has Defender built in for Spyware etc and http://www.microsoft.com/security_essentials/ is awesome for antivirus. Free of course. And utterly groovy :)

Pussylove 03-09-2010 10:55 PM

Use NOD32. I'am German, and i rely on German solutions, but that AV is top of the edge. Yes: US Solutions may work too. No question. But..... Germans do it right. :)

And all those Kaspersky Scryers: Did ya know that Kaspersky is from Russia ?

I was pushed nod by the guys at micro center. It was terrible. Granted it's light on resources, but kaspersky is great.

Yep comparing this to their One Care product is day and night. Whoever suggested Norton is crazy.
