Sooo apparently Visa & MC wont process a domain with "teen" in it

Sooo apparently Visa & MC wont process a domain with "teen" in it unless there is 18 or legal or some other nonsense in it. Just applied to get processing for my completed paysite at Zombaio and received:
Reason for denial:
Since April 2009 Visa and MasterCard requires all sites with the word "teen" in the domain name to add the word "legal", "eighteen","nineteen","18","19" somewhere in the domain name, ie: legalteens.com, myteen18.com etc. Zombaio are not allowed to accept sites that do not comply with the new rules. Zombaio rejects this site in its sole discretion.

If you make your site compliant with our Usage Policy and want it re-reviewed, please logon to ZOA and click on re-review button under the website management section.

Which of course is not anywhere in their fucking Usage Policy. No where at all. And I'm assuming since its a Visa MC thing there is no way around it and its not like I can fucking add 18 magically into my domain.

/rant

Just heads up for people

That is awesome.... now affiliates can take back all those great keyword domains :)

arock10 03-13-2010 01:22 PM

Mostly pissed at Zombaio for failing to have this notice in their Usage Policy, because its compliant with it everything in the file.

Domain Diva 03-13-2010 02:26 PM

Strange they should say that ? I see many sites advertised on here with teen domains ( no 18 etc) and with visa/mc billing ? maybe its just for newer sites?

Ladyboy King 03-13-2010 02:30 PM

We don't need any 18 or 19 year olds messing up the porn business. That would be horrible.

teenfeetcash 03-13-2010 02:30 PM

This only applies to new websites being added to the Zombaio system I believe. We had the same thing so just stuck with CC Bill - no problems there

arock10 03-13-2010 04:26 PM

But they are claiming its a visa/Mc thing, not zombaio and its not even in their TOS for sites

crackheadcurly 03-13-2010 04:29 PM

oh shit what about teen people. lets ban them. we need a hitler

Wel it cant be a visa/mc thing as others have shown that they are processing with " teen" in thier domain..it has to be zombaio? or at least thats the way it looks.

arock10 03-13-2010 04:38 PM

Any comment from actual zombaio people? if ccbill is still approving it'd be cheaper to go with that versus the redesign, new domain, and script domain change. Well plus the SE I already receive.

chupachups 03-13-2010 04:56 PM

I guess teen is facing the same destiny as lol*ta did

crackheadcurly 03-13-2010 04:59 PM

now i know why teencat is banned here

TheDA 03-13-2010 05:09 PM

There was a thread on here a while back about this. Don't remember if it was relating to info from a specific processor though!

I think it was a general VISA thread, I can't find it any longer tho.

Can't you just port your site to a different domain and use the teen domain to feed traffic?

Yes, but this would involve a need quality indexed domain receiving ok SE traffic, aged, script transfer fees, and design fixing fees. Mostly a profit loss.

have a seat over there

arock10 03-13-2010 06:55 PM

AlCapone 03-14-2010 12:44 AM

This isn't news. This has been in effect for at least the past 4 or 5 years.

Anyone have an "official" link for this? Big development.

OK, so your problem domain isn't worth much and you won't lose any substantial amount of traffic moving to a compliant domain name.

It's good to know about the new rules, but bottom line, you don't actually have that much of a problem.

Why don't you ask them instead of posting on a forum? It's not like this is their official support forum. :thumbsup:thumbsup:thumbsup:thumbsup

arock10 03-14-2010 08:34 AM

In the email they said this was started in april 2009, so no, its not new news. It wasnt in their user policy, only not allowing the usual pedo preteen type domains

fuzebox 03-14-2010 11:43 AM

I've noticed a lot of third party billers shift the blame Visa when it's actually an internal policy...

You could have checked it with their site checker first

Turf 03-14-2010 02:41 PM

visa and MC sure are having fun these days... soon you will not be able to process for anything unless its older people just holding hands.

AtlantisCash 03-14-2010 03:36 PM

Thank you, thought I was going insane.

gleem 10-11-2010 09:04 PM

yeah, do what every one else does, just toss a "18" into your domain and run all your traffic to a tour without 18 in the domain name... the ole' bait & switch on visa. :thumbsup

Loki 10-11-2010 09:50 PM

yeah, IF I'm not mistaken this all started in 2006 or 2007? maybe even before.

CYF 10-11-2010 09:53 PM

I have a bunch of legal teen domains for sale here :thumbsup

Kelli58 10-11-2010 10:11 PM

Well if "legal" has to be in the domain name why not do what it takes to comply? Say your domain name is HotSexyTeens.com you could make your tour Legal.HotSexyTeeens.com or Barely18.HotSexyTeens.com
:P
