Anyone here still builds sites that pure coded Html?

html is the basics of web developping no matter what You do, but i wonder if anyone still does sites that coded pure Html?

i don't do that since a long time (using html like everyone for so many things though), but planning to build a new one for a reason :2 cents:

What do you mean by "pure html"? Do you mean without scripts managing the content, etc?

I know lots of people that do it. One in particular would be pbracc who updates all of his sites by hand. The only scripts he is using are trade scripts and all of his sites are no skim.

I do.. old habits die hard.

Likewise. It's hard to give up that much control, especially when you know what you're doing better than most editors.

Yes, I use EditPlus. Learned the hard way back in 96.

table/tr/td and css styles, doing good with seo man

BillyHoe 03-16-2010 08:28 PM

I still edit alot of our sites by hand. I prefer the control.

amvcdotcom 03-16-2010 09:06 PM

our amvc site is old-school....hand-coded, raw html (not even css) to keep that homemade look while still easy to nav and doesn't burn the retinas :)

our more advance sites we're building are pre-templated (yes, i made that into a word!)
