summarizes quite well the intentions and plans of the far right. They are looking for a repeat of 1994. It is my fear that unless the apathetic left wakes up and realizes that these people mean business, that's exactly what they'll get.

How many people here are planning to volunteer to help progressives next November? I am. The left seems to be taking this as just another joke, but I'm afraid that the joke will be on them in November. I wonder how funny it will all seem to you when you are in court fighting an obscenity charge because you all sat on your collective smart-asses when you could have made a difference?

I realize that this might sound like a bunch of self-righteous bullshit to most of you, but I am at a loss as to how to motivate progressives.

How many times does this have to happen? 1994. 2000. 2004. I realize that half of you are going to take another opportunity to slam me for being an annoying extremist. Whatever. I am not going to take the bait so if that is what you are thinking, kindly move on. I hope at least a few of you take this seriously and the thread doesn't digress into a bunch of smart ass posts like all the other threads on GFY seem to.
