Any Rush fans?
They are playing Moving Pictures in its entirety on this upcoming tour. Sweet Jesus! :thumbsup

Grew up listening to them,I still have a bunch of their records

I'm a big fan of rock and blues and music in general. But I could never tolerate listening to Rush for more than about three seconds. I'm a bass player, so I appreciate Geddy Lee's bass playing, but the songs he sings are just awful. What does Rush hate melody? All their songs sound alike, and Geddy Lee's voice is an annoying nasal whine--he makes Shawn Colvin sound like Muddy Waters.

Kickass.. Now theres a Rush show I will def hit.. been a while

I enjoy Rush...husband loves them. I am liking the trend of older acts going on tour and playing an entire album. Last year, we went to see Gary Numan and he played the entire Replicas album. It was seriously one of the best shows I have ever heard. He is doing it with The Pleasure Principle this year. It is great because you get to hear songs that rarely get played live and also hear how well all the songs worked as an album.

not a big fan myself but I have a friend that has a collection of their music

rush ftw!!
however pink floyd >>>> rush ehhehe |
They're OK. I like their albums and when I saw them live they put on a good show. What I don't like about them is that they do not improvise at all. Their songs live sound exactly like they do on record.

I like some of rush's stuff! I think they sound better live from what I have seen. Would you agree?
I hear them on the radio pretty often and it doesn't sound the same as the live stuff to me. |
