To get a sense of the most stressful jobs in America, CareerCast.com looked at 21 different factors that can cause stress on the job, and ranked 200 professions by how significantly these demands factor into the average workday. Factors that weighed into stress levels included work environment, job competitiveness, opportunity for advancement and even perceived risk of unemployment.

CareerCast has also included a range of unemployment each profession faces around the country, a number which contributes to perceived risk of unemployment.

How the fuck did Trumpton end up at #1 on the list? Biggest load of skivers going.

I work better if there is a bit of pressure to get something done but mainly when I hear people complaining that their job is really stressful it's more because they are the wrong person for the job than it actually being the job's fault.

I don't know many stressed out firemen myself... sure the ones in NY or in big cities are saving lives daily but anywhere else? its garbage fires and recovering from hangovers from the night before...

Police should be up there, all the life saving stuff and risk yet everyone hates them.

Paramedics should be added too, that's about a thankless job as it gets.
