If ICQ disappeared tomorrow, what would you want to replace it with?

Anything that isn't ICQ. MSN messenger, skype, IRC... Pretty much anything is better.

That would probably be my choice by default.

I would not want all the business contacts cluttered with my person on my other IM.

I stopped using instant messengers (and phone texting) a long time ago.

Email or phone or fax or snail mail or candy-gram or carrier pigeon or carve something in stone and let civilization discover it in 2000 years.

But No IMs here.

It's secure and I like to share my screen, it helps with demonstration.

I mostly use skype for the past year
wish only that each chat window would remember its own language selection, pain on the ass switching constantly back and forth. other than that its perfect little tool.

I like ICQ because most of the adult industry uses it. I also use email a lot as well, of course. I wouldn't switch for any reason unless my customers, clients and others did first.

I'd go for skype, but it has two negative factors: doesn't send msgs to offline like icq , and there is no way to delete history of specific contact only all at once.

Gtalk is great.... Skype is a hunk of shit. ICQ sucks too though.
