Testing New Gay Cartoon Tour - Feedback Please
We're testing two versions of a new tour for our gay cartoon site http://www.spunktoons.com
There is a new full version online at http://www.spunktoons.com and a tabloid version at http://www.spunktoons.com/tm/ We've never run tabloid style tours (essentially one page tours) before but some have told me that with toon / 3d sites, they convert well. Does anyone who promotes cartoons or 3d have any advice / experienc with these types of tours? Feedback, comments on the tours? |

First One:
The main header is really kind of a mess. It's all over the place and does not lead the eyes in any particular direction like it should. Some of the shadowing is missing. You have shadow on some pieces, none on others. It's inconsistent. The lack of sidewalls, internal backgrounding or proper consistent shadowing = there is no common grounding, which is a big part of what's making the header a mess and hard to follow. Everything is just kind of floating there, making it look unfinished. And the text throughout is a little small. Second One: This header is better composed, and leads the eye better, but still has some bizarre flaws. The bent over dude has his fist in the other dude's crotch. The dude with the red hat has his head going up the other dude's ass. The dude with the crotch & ass issues has a vanishing leg. Your graphic text is right up to the cutoff on the right side. I still believe some sidewalls would improve this one too. #2 is the better version in my opinion. (based on composition & overall graphics) :2 cents: |
Cocks aren't drawn big enough...

Good suggestions. I'll present them to the designer and have him make some adjustments. Thank you

I like the design. The header is open so it should not be overcluttered.
However, you SHOULD have clear calls to action within the first 500px in the top - keep in mind how many are on netbooks these days (and cellphones for that matter) with limited screensize. I see the entire area is linked - good - but you should always prompt the punter to take action :) |
