Bandwidth Prices

A mate of mine is looking to move 4 or 5 boxes if the price is right and if I see that I'm being gouged I may change hosts too.

How much does 100 Mbit unmetered and 1 Gbit unmetered bandwidth go for now?

How much is 10TB, 20TB and 30TB of metered bandwidth going for these days?

sandman! 05-05-2010 11:04 AM

100mbit $350-$1500 really depends on the hardware and the host

TondaB 05-05-2010 11:23 AM

We are not the cheapest, but we have great pricing and awesome fully managed technical support. Hit me up with more details (specifically hardware) and I would be more than happy to quote you:)

Exactly.

There are a lot of factors that go into hosting. It is not all just the bandwidth. Equipment plays a part, as well as configuration of the box, and so does the level of support.

Ethersync,

As many have stated, there is a huge gamut of price currently, going from extremely cheap (in more ways than one) to extremely expensive (great quality, but you're also paying for the brand name). If getting rock solid speeds, service and support at a competitive price is what you're after, then Dedico is definitely the place for you. I'll even set you up with a quadcore xeon server with 15k SAS drives at no charge that you can take for a test drive (so to speak), to prove that I'm not just slinging a pitch.

Feel free to contact me at your convenience, via the ways listed in my sig.

Good luck in your search! :thumbsup

sojproductions 05-06-2010 01:15 AM

I currently pay $1,000 per month for a dedicated server which includes 15TB of metered, 12 month old high end server, quad core blah blah, was the best available at the time. I know there is cheaper available now, so I believe the price I am paying to be pretty average.
