Every day GFY is the SLOWEST site I visit.

Really pathetic when you think about it. :Oh crap

.

J. Falcon 05-16-2010 08:06 AM

Yeah it really does suck. Everyday it crashes or doesn't load at least once for me.

Wilsy 05-16-2010 10:03 AM

It is pretty disappointing that after nine years they still can't figure out how to get the site to run seamless.

I clicked on this thread and got the "not responding try again" message haha.

Eric, do check your hosting please. It's so slow it is getting hard to use GFY most parts of the day and I need to use F5 like 8 times in a row and make a cup of coffee and come back to read a thread.

Let me know if you need better/other (sponsored) hosting here buddy :)

Brujah 05-16-2010 11:24 AM

Is it the hosting, the software, or just clueless server admins?

The Dawg 05-16-2010 11:49 AM

I agree. Slow, times out or the occasional DB error.

CaptainHowdy 05-16-2010 11:50 AM

Crap takes a while to load...

ottopottomouse 05-16-2010 12:17 PM

It's been ok for me but then I probably might not notice so much as I tend to open 10 threads then start reading the first one so maybe the other 9 are struggling in the background.

fatfoo 05-16-2010 12:24 PM

It's not too slow, I think.
