My Dating Site Project
 

I've been working on this project for the past 3 months and its finally taking shape. I want to keep posting my updates on this thread daily so I don't get sidetracked (which I tend to do a lot).

Little bit of background. I have been promoting dating services (mainstream) for a while now. But always wanted to start my adult dating site. Have promoted few adult sites before and I think I can do it.

But starting something on your own , on a shoestring budget is never easy. Competition is high. But I like the challenge and hence I started this.

We are almost there (development) today we are sorting out some zipcode query issues. and I think my programmer should be able to have that sorted out by tonight.

I am going to be needing some help from GFY community here.


1. To build my traffic, I would like to swap banners with sites, if you are interested and can help me, please post here on this thread or email me I will get back to you.

2. I am also looking for 5 or 6 guys who can help us bug test our site. If you can spare sometime to give us a test please post here too.

While we are working on this, we are also pondering if we should put out an mobile app, both iphone and android. Quick question guys, do you think people will use mobile apps to find booty call ?

Did you go with a completely custom made solution or are you modifying an existing script?
If you dont mind me asking, how much is the development aspect costing ? Ballpark numbers will do

We custom built from ground up. We are doing it our selfs, so its hard to put a number on it. But if we look at the total cost in terms of man hours we are looking at about $6000 at the moment.

We are doing thing as we go along, so its an on going project in my mind. There will be always fine tuning.
