LOST finale
So who watched it already? how does it end? I haven't had a chance to see it, but its over and you can spoil it, I don't mind.
|
I am curious too.
|
Last one I saw it was about Jacob and his brother being kids, killing their step mother and throwing Jacobs brother into the well that made him a monster. Is that final?

who win?

everybody dies!!!
|
Everyone dies at different stages and meets in some alternative reality. They all forgive each other in the end.
Highlights Kate and the Doc, kiss. Kate wears a nice black dress... Now someone post some pics of Kate to give this thread some life. |
lost sucks.
house, grey's anatomy and chuck ftw |
|
Everybody dies? Whatsup with the dog that is running around on the island?
Smokey dies too? |
yep they died in the plane crash its what i figured they were crossing over some of the stuff they added made no real meaning towards the ending like pushing the button and the experiments what a waste that show was.
|
So JR was never shot and it was just Bobby having a dream in the shower?

Everybody who met there died at different times. The meet up place at the end had no sense of time. |

I really didn't like the flash sideways this season. The flashbacks, flashforwards, and time travel were great in the first 5 seasons. They should have ended the show after season 5. Season 6 was a let down. |

Here's part that says the same thing I said before: The island wasn’t purgatory? Oh no. All that stuff was real. It’s probably best to look at the show in two separate phases: (1) All of the stuff in seasons 1-5 and the island action in season 6; (2) All of the “sideways” stuff in season 6. If you wanted to make it into a timeline, take all of (1) and then, whenever a character dies, they go into a holding chamber. Once everyone dies, in their own timeline, the holding chamber opens and (2) starts. The series concludes with everyone in the church together going into The Beyond. |
They were dead at the point when he said that yes. But everything before that was happening for real. Thee ALT reality there was like a waiting room or something for them to move on to heaven or whatever.
|
This thread confirms that you should at least have half a brain to watch Lost.
|
i saw the last hour of it last night. actually TiVo'd it because of the commercials every 10 minutes was getting annoying fast
this is the first time ive seen the show and from this, i can saw it was retarded and im glad i didn't spend anytime previously watching any episodes. |
He didnt say "you're all dead" he said "everybody has to die sometime".
It was left ambiuguous on purpose. Everyone always tries to put things in a box, well some things you can't. This is one example IMHO. What I liked was the parallels in the whole "hatch" sequence of events from the early seasons, with Desmond releasing the pressure that one time by turning the key. And the later sequences leading up to the finale where Desmond again releases a failsafe by removing that rock. I liked jimmy kimmels explanation where it was like that book from junior high school. Remember the book where a man is about to be hung and the story goes that he made a miraculous escape and the entire book tells the tale and the end of the book ends a moment after it began with him being hung? It was perhaps all in Jacks head. The "light" is just beyond the bamboo where you woke up, Jack. Metaphor for heaven? Quite a dream, Jack. Good show, I'm sorry to see it go, but I liked it. |
im glad they took it behind the shed and put it out of its misery :thumbsup tho the geeks will follow the continued series on dvd :upsidedow
|
thats awesome, I'll definitely watch the last episode then :)
|
somehow i knew that even though this was a "spoiler thread", this damn show is so freaking convoluted that it's impossible to spoil.
even after reading this whole damn thread, i have no idea how it ends. which is not surprising. |
i dont like this sitcom
|
Just watched it. Totally awesome. Nuff said.
There is room for Season 7. |
I never watched it but I'd like to see the end of that misery...
|
For me the series ended after season 4. I still watched the last two seasons but they were boring and now completely pointless.
|
I think season 6 was just a mindfuck with a wtf ending that left me unsatisfied.

Any show that has 15 people trying to explain/figure out the ending, or even the entire 6th season, sounds like a great show!
|
damn its been over 24 hours and I'm still feeling blue about the end of the show :(

I was never able to figure this series out and still think it sucks. 2000 years old and nothing relevant to the rest of human history. What the fuck? Another series that started out good but was actually pulled from deep out of some talentless assholes ass
|
Season 6 and the finale were pretty disappointing. I wish they had leaned back more towards the sci-fi realm rather than the faith and love / soulmate bullshit.
|
It really died out after the first few seasons.
|
14.000.000 people watched the finale live.

be-fucking-eautiful :)
|
what a rip-off
|
Wish they would have explained WTF was the smoke monster exactly, I mean Jack & Desmond goto the same place he did and they didn't turn into smoke monsters. Who the fuck put that rock in the hole anyways, and what exactly did the water have to do with "the light", why did Jack die if he was immortal when the light switched back on, why would the island move is someone turned a wheel, who is Hurley protecting the island from if the smokemonster was dead (figured they would have made Linus a new bad guy to counterplay Hurly, but they didn't) why was Daniel's and his mom's role as timekeepers are whatever dropped, what happened to them? How did Ben bring Lock's dad back to the Island after he was dead, if Jacob's mom made the rules they couldn't hurt eachother how did he essentially kill the man in black by turning him into a smoke monster, and if he wanted to be human again, why didn't the smoke monster just pull the plug out of the light hole, lose his powers and become human, and hop a ride into town with ben on his sub?

A series finale is never going to please everyone.
All in all, I think they did a pretty good job. I too was getting a bit "perturbed" by the flash sideways..then the finale cleared that up thankfully. I did find it interested that Matthew Fox said he KNEW from day one that the last scene would be of his eye closing! Wondering how much else he knew and managed to keep quiet on. You have to admit, with as many big mouths that there are in Hollywood, they were able to keep a lot of things secret right until the end. |
