indeed.I`m for server`s stats:)

flip.green 05-28-2010 03:11 PM

kinda moot imo, most people wont even use it so stats should still be accurate enough to be useful.

piwik ftw

Babaganoosh 05-28-2010 03:42 PM

Are real webmasters still using analytics? I don't know many who didn't abandon it quite some time ago.

Piwik and log parsers are the only way to fly.

You have to be careful with that... my server got hacked via piwik

camgirlshide 05-28-2010 04:20 PM

If the search is encrypted it's not going to matter if your stats are server side or from google - you'll still be missing some data

I use Google Analytics from most of my blogs. Gives you a pretty good read on where your site is traffic wise.

fatfoo 05-28-2010 04:43 PM

"Google released a tool which lets users be completely invisible to Google Analytics" - I think that this tool will not hurt the accuracy of the statistics. An equal small percentage of people will choose to be invisible accross all countries, browsers, screen resolutions and whatever other statistics are kept.

fuzebox 05-28-2010 04:54 PM

I will never trust Google with that kind of info.

baddog 05-28-2010 05:10 PM

I wonder how many users are going to take the time to install these tools.
