Are real webmasters still using analytics? I don't know many who didn't abandon it quite some time ago.
Piwik and log parsers are the only way to fly. |

I use Google Analytics from most of my blogs. Gives you a pretty good read on where your site is traffic wise.

"Google released a tool which lets users be completely invisible to Google Analytics" - I think that this tool will not hurt the accuracy of the statistics. An equal small percentage of people will choose to be invisible accross all countries, browsers, screen resolutions and whatever other statistics are kept.
