WTF Australia...WTF?!?!?
 

Hundreds of seemingly drunk parrots are falling out of trees and the sky in a northern Australian town, mystifying veterinary surgeons...The brightly coloured lorikeets are showing classic signs of drunkenness by losing all coordination and passing out, and then cowering in cages as they recover from their "hangovers".

I use to feed them at my house on the north shore. Amazing birds, loud when they got angry though.

Ive heard of simlar happening to birds before and it was due to some type of berry or grape type thing they had eaten. .....still funny !

Probably they eat some fruits that contain alcohol or they eat some pant with psychedelic ingredients. lol

This bird has beautiful colors of red, orange, green and blue.

I also like the yellow and black colours of the anaconda snake - there is something about these colors that is ominous. This large snake devours its prey for weeks after swallowing it whole.

Maybe a company dumped some chemicals in a river...

Nothing bizarre about it at all.
At the end of summer, the rotten mangos drop from the trees and ferment - the birds then eat the fruit and get totally trashed. There are videos all over youtube w/ drunken lorikeets...

Well I know my old neighbors didn't like the rainbow lorikeet, they use to put spirits on bread and milk and honey on top of the spirits. So when the birds ate they don't want to come back. They do get very noisy when eating too. Watch youtube video

Yeah this is very common here. They get wasted on nectar from the gum tree flowers and they fly around crashing in to shit funny shit!
