I don't buy into all that crap. Nothing is so important that I have to have all that shit at my disposal 24/7. This is partially what is wrong with the world. No one can just disconnect for a few days, or even 1 day, and just chill out. No emails, no social networking, no smart phones, no nothing. Just reconnect with your family and friends in person. Read a book outside and don't be distracted.

What do I have? A simple mobile phone that calls people and has basic SMS. What else do you need? I don't want to check my email or chat when I'm outside. I have a life. I like to live it without the chains of technology. I even limit myself to 8 hours of time online and that includes work. 8 hours, and I'm off the computer and back to real life, spending real face time with the people I care about and not commenting to them on facebook or twitter.

Good for you for not buying one of those things. None of us are that important to be connected at all times.
