Let me tell you something about Mortal Kombat. It was always Shang Tsung who was the best player. Why? Because he could transform into any other player. The difficulty was just memorising the key combination in order to do the morphing. So, it was always the player with the best memory that won.

ghey....

"Reptile rips heads off victims" - what gruesome video.

"Man who turns knife on himself" - this is an interesting topic. I am going to write some more words. It is sure different from a man who "wants to be killed by a knife." A short sword is a long knife. Imagine a soldier is given a sword. Some soldiers kill themselves rather than be interrogated by an enemy.

I watched Mortal Kombat 1 movie and Mortal Kombat 2 movie. I also played the computer games: Mortal Kombat 1, 2, 3 and 4. I also posted some Mortal Kombat character images on GFY several months ago and ShellyCrash also posted some Mortal Kombat characters. Last week ShelleyCrash posted some images of a man with his testicles cut off - this bothers me.

The topic of turning knife on yourself and suicide interests me. I am going to write some more about this.

Research from: http://www.ontario.cmha.ca

The suicide rate for Canadians, as measured by the WHO, is 15 per 100,000 people. Yet, according to numerous studies, rates are even higher among specific groups. For example, the suicide rate for Inuit peoples living in Northern Canada is between 60 and 75 per 100,000 people, significantly higher than the general population. Other populations at an increased risk of suicide include youth, the elderly, inmates in correctional facilities, people with a mental illness, and those who have previously attempted suicide. According to Statistics Canada, between 1997 and 1999, there was a 10 percent increase in suicides across Canada, from 3,681 to 4,074. In Ontario alone, suicides rose from 930 in 1997 to 1,032 in 2001.

It's not for the new movie. Some director put this together in an attempt to sell his vision for a new Mortal Kombat film to the studio...in hopes of them hiring him to make the movie.

Nothing is locked down yet.

Jeri Ryan explains it all

I got it from here.

Actress Jeri Ryan of Star Trek: Voyage fame appears as Sonya Blade in a Mortal Kombat trailer dubbed "Mortal Kombat: Rebirth" that popped up online. Is it a game trailer? A movie trailer? Tell us, Jeri, tell us!

"Okay, so... Mortal Kombat," she tweets. "It's not a game trailer. Actually was made for the director to sell WB on his vision for a reimagined MK film."

Ryan said she did her role as a favor to a friend. "No idea yet what WB's reaction to it was," she adds. I can tell you what my reaction was: stoked.

While a Mortal Kombat film was directed by Paul W.S. Anderson (of Resident Evil movie fame) in 1995, an updated take on the franchise has been languishing in development hell. However, a lawsuit has been filed by the development partner of the original film as it signed a contract in 2006 to do a sequel.

The Mortal Kombat: Rebirth short was helmed by Kevin Tancharoen. He directed last year's Fame remake.

it looks very slick, and i like the idea they keep it in the real world. Plus the fight scene was done by the guy who also did the blood and bone fight scenes (also with michael jai white) and those were just perfectly brutal and realistic.
This is the perfect mortal kombat film, if they are gonna do it like this clip. The childish supernatural underworld shit is really lame... baraka & reptile as disfigured and demented serial killers.. perfect!

Ah ok, ah well i hope they do make another one.

I actually didn't mind the first movie. Ok some of it was pretty dumb, but being a fan of Mortal Kombat it had enough in there to keep me interested.

Fave part is when Reptile changes into masked Reptile, and you hear the voice from the game saying "Reptile".

Dunno why but i just thought at the time it was pretty cool! :winkwink:
