While most people who read this blog are aware that the current charges David Stodghill faces are nothing new to him - in 1995 he was convicted of sexually assaulting a minor, and in 1991 of concealing the whereabout of a minor - this blog has also confirmed that in 2001 Federal authorities were investigating Stodghill for creating and distributing child porn.

According to the warrant that led to his arrest earlier this year, in February 2001 the Lee County, FL Sheriff's office received an anonymous tip that David Stodghill was taking photos of his minor children and posting them at virgins-r-us dot com. Per the warrant, "Included in the letter were several pictures of children involved in sexual acts."

Federal customs officials and local law enforcement attempted to contact Stodghill, who lived in the Fort Myers, FL area at the time, for an interview, but soon discovered that he and his family had abruptly fled. Law enforcement were also informed that the Department of Family Services had attempted to do a well-being check on Stodghill and his children in the months prior.

The warrant goes on to refer to Stodghill's 2009 and 2010 Los Angeles activities as his "Continued Child Pornography Possession in California," and that his current wife "had seen a manila folder in the residence which contained printouts of children engaged in sexual acts."

Tomorrow morning (Thursday, June 10th) Stodghill will face formal arraignment for charges of sexual assault of a minor under the age of 13. While there are no charges of child pornography at this time, the search warrant also alleges that Stodghill took naked photos of his female accuser.

Again, not Turboface, although I'm certain he's pretty happy to know all of this is confirmed, and that Stodghill could face a long prison sentence.

August trial date set for David Stodghill

"The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania vs. David Stodghill" has an August 8th court date set, per online documents updated this week following Stodghill's formal arraignment.

The same documents also list the "Commonwealth's notice of mandatory sentence" with regard to the charge of Aggravated Indecent Assault (With A Complainant Less Than 13 Years Old). The minimum sentence for this charge is 5 years.

There is no indication if Stodghill is requesting a trial by jury or charge.

The two additional charges associated with this complaint (Indecent Assault and Corruption of Minors) are also set to go to trial on the same day along with separate charges of Marijuana and Drug Paraphernalia Possession and Harassment.

Why on earth would you be requesting screen shots of a site that likely had CP on it?

If there's CP on it, I don't want it, and I doubt anyone would hold on to it. But if its a splash page or anything else teasing such content, definitely.

I believe some people over the years may have attempted to contact the authorities regarding that site or other CP related activities Stodghill was engaged in, but fell on deaf ears. If anyone still has info or evidence, please let me know via email (even anonymously, with a fake email) and I'll send you the contact info for the ICE agents who were looking at Stodghill's CP connections.
